What Happens if Payment Fails
What Happens if Payment Fails
If your monthly payment can't be processed, GlassFlow will notify you and give you time to fix it before access is affected.
What to Expect
1. Payment Failure
Stripe will attempt to charge your card on your billing date. If it fails, Stripe retries the charge automatically a few times over the following days.
2. Past Due Status
If all retries fail, your subscription moves to Past Due. You'll see a warning banner in the app and some features may be limited. Your existing data is safe.
3. How to Fix It
- Go to Account Settings → Billing
- Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe billing portal
- Update your payment method with a valid card
- Stripe will automatically retry the charge
Once payment goes through, your subscription returns to Active and full access is restored immediately.
4. Canceled Status
If the payment remains unresolved for an extended period, the subscription moves to Canceled. At this point, the account is locked to read-only or no access.
To reactivate a canceled subscription, go to Account Settings → Billing and start a new subscription.
Keeping Your Card Up to Date
To avoid payment failures, update your card in the billing portal before it expires. You'll receive email notices from Stripe about upcoming card expirations.
Data Retention
Your jobs, customers, inventory, and all other data are preserved during Past Due and Canceled status — nothing is deleted. When you reactivate, everything is exactly as you left it.
