Creating a Job
Creating a Job
Jobs are the center of GlassFlow. Here's how to create one from start to finish.
Admin Flow (6 steps)
Step 1 — Customer
Search for an existing customer by name or phone number. If they're not in the system yet, you can create a new customer record right from this screen — just enter their name, phone, email, and address.
If the customer is unknown (e.g. a drive-by appointment), select "Unknown customer."
Step 2 — Vehicle
Enter the vehicle year, make, and model. If you have the VIN, enter it in the VIN field — GlassFlow will automatically fill in the year, make, and model for you.
Check any applicable boxes: R&I (remove and install), Chip Repair, Warranty, or ADAS Required.
Need to add multiple vehicles? Toggle Multi-Vehicle and fill in each one separately.
Step 3 — Job Details
Add the part number(s) for the job. Choose OEM or aftermarket, and select which inventory location the part should come from.
Step 4 — Schedule
- Assign a technician (and optionally a helper for two-man jobs)
- Set the scheduled date and expected time frame (e.g., 8–11 AM)
- Enter the job address
Step 5 — Financial
Set the dollar amount, tech pay, ADAS pay (if applicable), helper pay (if two-man), and insurance details if it's an insurance job.
This step is only visible to admins.
Step 6 — Review
Confirm everything looks right and click Create Job.
Technician Flow (5 steps)
Same as above without the Financial step. Jobs created by a technician default to New Lead status.
Tips
- VIN auto-decode: Enter the full 17-character VIN and the vehicle details will populate automatically
- Job number: Auto-assigned based on the technician and date — no need to enter it manually
- Returning customers: The app will show a "Returning" badge if the customer has completed jobs in your system
