Adding a Customer


GlassFlow keeps a searchable database of all your customers. Before creating a job, always search for the customer first — this keeps your records clean and links all their jobs together automatically.


How to Add a Customer


You can add a customer directly from the job creation screen, or from the Customers page.


From the Customers page:

  1. Click + New Customer
  2. Fill in the details (see fields below)
  3. Click Save


From the job creation screen:

  1. In the Customer step, search by name or phone
  2. If no match is found, click Create New Customer
  3. Fill in their details inline and continue creating the job

Retail, Business, or Dealership


Customer Types


  • Retail — individual consumer (default). Eligible for automated SMS.
  • Business — commercial account such as a fleet or body shop. SMS is skipped.
  • Dealership — auto dealer account. SMS is skipped.


Tips


  • If a customer shows a Returning badge, they have completed jobs already in your system
  • Phone number should be a US number — it's used to send appointment confirmations automatically
  • Business and dealership customers appear on the Accounts tab in the Customers list
